Make your own studded Converse!

We received a lot of requests on these studded Converse we posted about a while back. Some of you asked where we got the studs and charms from, and others said this was a unique idea, because most studded Converse you see are decorated on the sides or the back.

We decided to make a post answering all these questions for you!

Some time ago... I think it was December, I saw these cake studded Converse by Gasoline Glamour, and needed to get my hands on them! They were 400$ so I said I wouldn't spend that much money on a pair of Converse. I started looking for all the materials to make them, but wasn't able to find the little cakes and donuts, so I decided to use Swarovski charms instead, and make them be my own style.

The materials I used:
- Flat cone studs from Etsy stores
- Swarovski charms from ArtBeads
- Pair of Converse

Hope this post was of any help to you guys, and if you do choose to recreate them, send us pictures ;)
We'd love to see them!

Summer Love

Summer is finally here!! But, of course in Boston is windy and rainy so instead of staying locked up the whole day, we went outside and enjoyed the day as much as we could.

Anyways, I absolutely love dresses. They are particularly made for girls, so I kinda feel special wearing them. Every single one that I own, I adore! BUT this one is definitely my favorite. I can play around with it and when the wind blows: ohhh, it's magical!!!! I just can't put in words how much I love this dress!!  they say "A picture is worth a thousand words" and I'm showing you 8 ;) hahaha

At the end of the day, the wind was sooo strong that it literally pulled my dress up and.....the rest is history..... hahahah oh well another story to tell!!

I hope everyone is having a great week!!

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

Some of you must think I'm weird but...some weeks ago, I tried my first Rhubarb crisp EVER. I automatically fell in love with it and had to order a second one right away. It's like heaven in your mouth!
For those of you who haven't heard of this dessert before, it's very similar to a strawberry pie, but the top layer is made out of granola and oatmeal (the crisp), and is then topped with a scoop of ice-cream. This is how it looks.
For some reason this dress reminds me of the Strawberry Rhubarb. Maybe because of the color? I love red dresses (and rhubarb). I think they're sexy and fun, and this one is perfect for the summer... especially since it's been way too hot in Boston and it's made out of a sheer material.

See you soon,

Neon Crazy!

Hi Girls!!! sorry I haven't been posting as much as usual but lately it's been a little bit crazy with school..etc but of course that wasn't going to stop me from doing it today <3
You know I love anything that has neon on it, and this statement necklace just stole my heart when I saw it  on Etsy . I think it's very unique. Personally, I haven't seen anything like this before.
Also, I've been looking for new handbags for the new season and I found a beige one that is pretty amazing! I love that you can use it either on your arm or on your shoulder and the gold details are to die for!! I found it in Questhaven Fashions, which is a store that has very affordable prices and super cute stuff. I specially loved this  T-shirt.  You guys can also get a 20% off discount by using promocode: Angela20

Around Boston

Since Angela's sister is here, we've been taking her around Boston. This weekend we spent all our time shopping (Semi-anual sales everywhere), eating out, going to the movies, and getting pampered at the nail salon. Our wallets need a little break today, so we'll probably just walk around, and come back home to cook.

This shirt, bag and bracelet are three things I got on the mail this week, and can't take off. I just love the combination of blue with neon yellow. I literally wore the bag and bracelet every day of the week!

I hope you guys are having an awesome Father's Day. I wish I could spend time with my dad today, but he's too far away :(

Let me know how your weekends went.

Do our clothes reveal who we are?

Do Our Clothes Reveal Who We Are?

Mark Twain once said: “clothes make the man.” And whilst it’s easy to see what he
was getting at, we have to question whether it is strictly true. Yes, a sharp, well-
tailored suit might tell us something about the wearer. But then, isn’t it true that we
could quite easily encounter the same person the following day, sporting well-worn
jeans and a stained T-shirt? This would understandably lead to confusion over this
person’s character and status. But if we’d only met him on the second day, we’d hold
a very different view of him to those who’d only encountered him a day earlier. So
perhaps Mark Twain’s words are a little ambiguous.

Each to their own

Everyone has a favorite outfit – clothes they feel most comfortable in. Likewise, we
all have things we don’t like to wear – things that make us feel uncomfortable. But
whether your preference is for cuffs and collars, jogging bottoms and hoodies, or
plain old jeans and T-shirts, there’s no escaping the fact that what we wear – at any
given time – speaks volumes to those who encounter us.

Many of us are proud to wear the labels and logos of our preferred brands or
fashion houses. Whether these are emblazoned across our chests or neatly stitched
somewhere within view, they do, of course, have two functions: firstly, as eye-
catching decorations, and secondly, as advertisements for the company.

However we dress, we are expressing our personalities. As such, dressing is, in a
way, a form of communication. Think about it... a quiet, reserved person might dress
in conservatively-styled, plain, middle-of-the-road colors; nothing too bright so as
not to garner attention. An extrovert would almost certainly wear an explosive mix
of bright colors and bold styling. Yet, both could be wearing the latest fashion.

Stand out from the crowd

We love brands that have a passion for designing bold and original clothing that don't let you blending into the background, but that are still subtle enough to let you be modest. We have been looking for clothes that would match this definition, and believe we have come across the perfect example, and think there's no fashion house closer to this than Firetrap (this is where we got these images from). These pictures are of items that we believe are unique, chic, and trendy at the same time.

Do you also like standing out from the crowd without exaggerating?

PS: This is the first time I write SO much on a post. Let me know what you think about these kinds of posts.

New York, New York!

Hello Girls!!
So,  Angela Squared crashed New York City last weekend!! Yayyy It was awesome. Both of us have been there before since Boston is very close to it, but honestly, every time you go there is like falling in love all over again <3 and my lil-Sis, Shinji and our friend Marwan were there with us!! So much fun!!!

The entire day was full of excitement and new adventures (Of course shopping was included on the plan) we even had a parking ticket hahahaha!!

I've also been wanting to show you guys my last find. A loooong time ago I posted about a leather backpack that I REALLY wanted to get. You can read the post here. I was super happy when I found out that Oasap had a similar one. We brought it to NYC and it was so useful and comfy. I have also been using it for school and I seriously  love the pockets!! You can put there the keys, cellphone, train pass, lip gloss..etc  and take it out so easily ( I honestly hate that I always have to open the big pocket to take out that! So annoying...).

Hope every single one you had a very nice weekend :)

It's been raining this whole week, and so we've been able to spend time at home watching TV shows, drinking hot chocolate, and of course spending time with our beautiful daughter, Odisea.

I am actually really excited to show you guys this black shirt because I got it from Babassu, an online store we discovered a few weeks ago. They have very affordable clothes and free shipping on everything, so I thought you'd be interested. Who doesn't want some cool affordable stuff with free shipping?

Also, did you notice my bracelets? I seriously love them together. The big chunky one is a gift from a very special friend of mine, and the thinner blue and silver is from Blue Vanilla. I finally get to own something from that store. I found out about it some months ago after seeing some of their jewelry on another blog. They also have really affordable things. For example, this ear cuff is one of my favorite things in their store, and it's only 10$!

By the way, I just started my summer session classes, and am now taking Chemistry... So, yeah, I'll be busy all these days. Wish me luck :(
