Sunny Sunday

My friend finally arrived from Venezuela, and we have been running errands, shopping, and eating out this whole week! Just in case you were wondering why we hadn't posted in so long.

We were about to leave to visit some apartments for him, but the minute we stepped out the door, we decided to go back and look for the camera because the weather was beautiful. These were some of the pictures we just took. I wanted to post them before leaving the house, because I really liked the outcome.

By the way, you might remember Manuel from out first posts. I LOVE HIM!

I'm thrilled to share them with you. Hope you like them!

Judy Jetson

Yes... I was actually laughing (my ass off) on that second picture.
I can't be serious, for too long, when Angela takes pictures of me. I start making funny faces. I always laugh or smile, and I get uncomfortable when people walk by. I'm a little shy.

Now, this dress used to belong to a good friend of mine who moved to Oregon. I love it, and wearing it reminds me of her. I love the contrast of it with this necklace.

The necklace is a whole other story. I had been eyeing it at H&M. It caught my attention the first time I saw it, but couldn't get my head around it. I wanted to buy it, but didn't know when or how to wear it. It's a neon pink plastic necklace. How could anyone come up with this idea? Whoever did -it's genius. I feel futuristic, supersonic, fresh!
I look so Judy Jetson, remember her?

Ok girlies, I'm off to have breakfast with Angela and her friend from Spain, Virginia. Have a wonderful day!

Our 4th of July!

We had so much fun yesterday. We woke up early, went to the movie theater and watched Ted and Magic Mike (if you haven't watched them yet, you should definitely watch them. They're hilarious).
In the afternoon, we went to have lunch/dinner in a cozy restaurant in Newbury Street, and saw the fireworks after eating. It was beautiful!

We painted our hair with blue, white, and red, but by the time we took these pictures most of the colors had fallen off. I also got the chance to wear my JC American Flag Litas for the first time! I had been saving them for almost a year, just to wear them on the 4th of July.

How was your independence day? Today, July 5th, is our independence day in Venezuela!

Enjoy the pictures!

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

Some of you must think I'm weird but...some weeks ago, I tried my first Rhubarb crisp EVER. I automatically fell in love with it and had to order a second one right away. It's like heaven in your mouth!
For those of you who haven't heard of this dessert before, it's very similar to a strawberry pie, but the top layer is made out of granola and oatmeal (the crisp), and is then topped with a scoop of ice-cream. This is how it looks.
For some reason this dress reminds me of the Strawberry Rhubarb. Maybe because of the color? I love red dresses (and rhubarb). I think they're sexy and fun, and this one is perfect for the summer... especially since it's been way too hot in Boston and it's made out of a sheer material.

See you soon,

Colors

Goldie London Shirt, Alex and Ani Bangles, Lotus Mendes Ring, Aloha ContactsUrban Outfitters Shorts, Jeffrey Campbell Sandals.
The weather has been amazing this weekend. Couldn't wait for it to be warm so I could wear this sheer white shirt from Goldie London. It is asymmetrical like the last red skirt I posted about, and it's made out of the same material. It's just perfect for summer!

On another note... NO, I don't have blue/green eyes. I wish! But I try to get as close as I can. I searched for a pair of good colored contact lenses, and found these from Aloha Contacts. They are pretty comfortable and blend very well with my eye color. We didn't use Photoshop to change the color of the pictures, so this is how they actually look. I'm thinking about buying some more colors, because these are just not enough.

If you liked my shirt, and Angela's dress from this post, then stay with us because we will soon host a Giveaway for you ladies!

We have been busy with school and tests, appart from that everything is great! How was your weekend?

besos,
AB

DIY shorts and New Jewelry

Hi girls!

There are so many things I want to say on this post, it's a little overwhelming!

1. This is one of the shorts I made. I have been wanting to show them to you for some weeks, but it's been cold in Boston. Today was warm, and hopefully this week will be too, woohoo!
I bought a pair of jeans at a thrift store for 1$, cut them into shorts, and then dyed them with a lilac color. LOVED the outcome, and hope you like it too :D

2. I used to use Manic Panic on my hair ends(the pink color on older posts), and changed to Special Effects, and like it so much more. It's lasted way longer than I expected.

3. I wanted to show you the new jewelry we received this week! I love every single piece of it.
The beautiful golden bangles are from Alex and Ani. They are very elegant yet casual. We found out about this store while walking around in Newbury Street in Boston, we also saw another one in Newport -Rhode Island. If you ever see this store, WALK in and explore it! I assure you will not walk out without wanting to buy the whole store!

4. The orange star studded leather bracelet is from Poshlocket, a very cool website that has edgy/chic jewelry. Their pieces are always modern and girly. They stay on top with fashion! You should also check the website out and if you like my bracelet STAY TUNED, because we will be hosting a giveaway soon ;)!!

I hope you guys liked the shorts and the new jewelry, let us know what you think about everything.

Love you,
AB
