Imago Genesis

Iryna Gorb has been a friend of ours ever since we came to Boston. She loves photography and is constantly working on improving her skills. She plays around with all kinds of cameras, people, and scenarios. She can get very creative. It's pretty fascinating!

I've been following her work for the past two years, and even asked her to start a blog, just so she could share her photography with the rest of us.

The first four pictures were taken by her at the beginning of this year; you might have already seen them around our Twitter or Facebook accounts. The last five ones, were taken by her for a young designer's Lookbook for a new clothing collection.

Stop by both of their blog, if you have time. They're very cool!

I would like you for my own.

Hi ladies,

this is a quick post I'm doing before going to class. We took these pictures some hours ago after having lunch and walking around our neighborhood.

I'm wearing pretty much all of my closet obsessions at the moment:
1) My awesome Prada inspired creepers. If you follow us on Facebook, you know I ADORE this model, and I was able to find them at SoYouShoes for waaay less money.
2) My new Peter Pan collar white shirt. I love it so much, today was my third time wearing it this week. Oh, and my favorite part: it's called "I would like you for my own". How cute?
3) My Alex and Ani bangles <3

Hope you like it!

Our 4th of July!

We had so much fun yesterday. We woke up early, went to the movie theater and watched Ted and Magic Mike (if you haven't watched them yet, you should definitely watch them. They're hilarious).
In the afternoon, we went to have lunch/dinner in a cozy restaurant in Newbury Street, and saw the fireworks after eating. It was beautiful!

We painted our hair with blue, white, and red, but by the time we took these pictures most of the colors had fallen off. I also got the chance to wear my JC American Flag Litas for the first time! I had been saving them for almost a year, just to wear them on the 4th of July.

How was your independence day? Today, July 5th, is our independence day in Venezuela!

Enjoy the pictures!

Make your own studded Converse!

We received a lot of requests on these studded Converse we posted about a while back. Some of you asked where we got the studs and charms from, and others said this was a unique idea, because most studded Converse you see are decorated on the sides or the back.

We decided to make a post answering all these questions for you!

Some time ago... I think it was December, I saw these cake studded Converse by Gasoline Glamour, and needed to get my hands on them! They were 400$ so I said I wouldn't spend that much money on a pair of Converse. I started looking for all the materials to make them, but wasn't able to find the little cakes and donuts, so I decided to use Swarovski charms instead, and make them be my own style.

The materials I used:
- Flat cone studs from Etsy stores
- Swarovski charms from ArtBeads
- Pair of Converse

After:

Hope this post was of any help to you guys, and if you do choose to recreate them, send us pictures ;)
We'd love to see them!
