Summer and Holiday essentials - Sunglasses Wishlist

I can't believe I haven't had any time to post in a whole week. This week has been crazy. Last weekend was my birthday, and I came to Florida yesterday.

The weather in Miami was beautiful but way too hot. I felt my skin and eyes burning the minute I stepped out in the sun. I've been wearing my sunglasses a little too much and now feel the need to get new ones.

Yesterday, I went to the Dolphin mall and looked around for nice sunglasses to then see if I could find them online. I rather buy things online because I can always find more colors and designs, and sometimes even better prices.

My favorite sunglasses are the round and cat-eye shape ones, so I just looked for those two kinds. I found my favorite ones online, on Sunglasses Shop, but wasn't able to save the images. My wishlist, for my favorite and most affordable ones, is the following (I couldn't save the images, so I'll just post the links):

Let me know which pairs were your favorite!
I'm in Orlando now, and off to another mall. I will let you know if I find more pairs that I like!

PS: I'm sorry for not replying to your lovely comments. I will as soon as I can;)

Big Week

This week is Aste Nagusia (in Euskera, a Basque Country language), which translates into "Big week". It is  a huge festival. Every single day we have fireworks! So imagine a 4th of July for a week!! So cool, I love it!
Another great thing about this summer is that tomorrow I will be going to The Canary Islands. I'm super excited!! I'll be posting about it soon:) Keep in touch.

Carreale

Some months ago we were asked to participate, next to some other girls, on a photo-shoot for the Lookbook of Carreale, a Boston based online store. We immediately loved the idea because the main concept of the store is to "empower women through fashion", and we're all about women power!

These were some of the unedited photos they took of us, and that we're able to show you. The colorful background is a mural located in Cambridge. Paintings and graffitis usually last less than a week there. Every time we go, it's a whole different mural. It's always changing so it never gets boring, and it's perfect for pictures.

We hadn't seen these pictures until now, so we're very excited to share them with you!

Supermodels at the Olympics Closing Ceremony

I've been meaning to write this post but haven't had the time to, until now.
I just wanted to share my love for the supermodels' appearance at the Olympics closing ceremony. I love how they dedicated a piece of the ceremony to the biggest British supermodels and fashion designers/houses. It didn't have much to do with the olympics, but it was still eye-freshening for most of us (or so I believe).
They were all matching in sparkly and glittery gold threads. I have no words to describe how good they all looked, and how beautiful were all their outfits. I'll leave you with some of my favorite pictures. That will hopefully make you understand:

What They Wore:
Kate Moss: Alexander McQueen
Naomi Campbell: Alexander McQueen
Karen Elson: Burberry
Stella Tennant: Christopher Kane
Lily Cole: Erdem
Jordan Dunn: Jonathan Saunders and Stephen Jones
Georgia May Jagger: Victoria Beckham
Lily Donaldson: Vivienne Westwood
David Gandy: Paul Smith

My favorite dresses were the Alexander McQueen ones, worn by Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, Jordan Dunn's, and May Jagger's. Did you have a favorite?

Staying Simple

Hello Magestic Creatures of the world!!

Today, we went to watch "Brave", the movie, and it was AWESOME!! I was basically the oldest in the theater, but the one that laughed the most! It is another great Pixar film. I definitely recommend it.

Yesteday, I was looking for what to wear in my endless closet (you could find Narnia there...) and TACHANNN found this pretty orange dress. I've always been obsessed with it, but basically forgot about it and when I found it... I couldn't believe my eyes, I still had it :O (I was literally jumping on one leg)  I just love it!!! haha so I wore it <3. Of course, I couldn't help it but show it to you too ;)

Tomorrow is a holiday in Spain so everyone is a little bit "overexcited". But don't get me wrong, I still love to make plans for holidays. Soo tomorrow I will be going out  to take some pics with my sister and maybe we will all be going to the beach afterwards!! SO EXCITING haha
Stay tuned babies ;)

Paul Smith

I love Paul Smith's bag designs. They are so interesting and unique, and he can get really creative sometimes. I specially like the men line. I think it's way more appealing than the women's one.
I'm also a sucker for bags with prints, but I previously only owned one printed bag, made by a Venezuelan designer. These two babies, are from the Paul Smith's men collection.

When I walked into the store, my first intention was to buy the holdall, but I couldn't resist myself and ended up buying both. The holdall, I thought, was perfect for school; It's huge, although you may probably not be able to tell by these pictures, it can easily hold several books and notebooks; and the small purse is perfect for carrying small things and money.

Choosing which prints to buy was my hardest task. They were all so beautiful. I obviously ended up choosing two different patterns, because I didn't want to take home two bags with the same print.

I'm obsessed! You should check out all the designs they have here.

Nails + Beads

So, this is my first post from Venezuela. You were probably expecting to see nice summery beach pictures, but instead, I needed to show you the nail design I did on my friend!

I bought these Ciate Caviar micro-pearls some months ago, but wasn't really able to play around with them until now. My friend, Jessica, came over last night and I decided to paint her nails, just so I could try new designs using the nail beads.

I didn't want to do the same design that the Ciate box came with. I wanted to make-up something I hadn't seen before.

If you follow our blog regularly, you might have probably noticed that I LOVE painting my nails using different colors, all at the same time. This time I did the same, just with the beads, and this was the outcome:

I loved the combination of the green nail-polish with the minty one. I'm thinking about doing it on myself sometime soon!

Hope you like them!

Catching feelings

Yesterday we were having such a beautiful day that I couldn't help but call my friends, Alberto and Eider, and drag them from their houses to enjoy the day. Alberto took some pictures of me and then we went to this amazing tapas bar. The pinchos (Definition) were amazing!! kind of out of this world.
I also wanted to explain the last two pics. Welllll, Alberto went to Andorra and bought some equipment for his camera. He found this crazzyyy flash for soo cheap that he "had to buy it". So we were minding our own business in front of the Guggenheim with tons of turists and we put the flash on the camera!! It literally blinded us for 10 secs... Everyone was looking at us like we were mad!! (we were cracking up,  we just couldn't help it)
I hope everyone is enjoying their vacation as much as we are <3

Love,
AL

Farewell, Boston

Before leaving Boston I wanted to visit Spectacle, one of the islands off the coast, just so I could get the full view of the whole skyline.

Boston is such a beautiful city. It makes me a little nostalgic to think that I will be gone for more than a month. I just wanted to share some of our last pictures in Boston, for the summer! Hope you enjoy them... I will post from Venezuela next time ;)

Why would you be anywhere else?

After 14 hours of landing and take offs, I finally made it home... Since I've arrived here I haven't stopped visiting friends and hanging out with my family. The very next day I got here we decided to go to Santoña, which is a beach situated on Cantabria (around 45 min from Bilbao). There we had a BBQ and we enjoyed the sun and the beautiful beach. It was a little cold but what would you expect from the Cantabrian Sea... Anyways I hope everyone is having a great summer ;)
